Dr Matt Zuccala, a clinical psychologist sat down to chat with us about evolutionary psychology and what it teaches us about humanity. Matt speaks to his thesis that focuses on an evolutionary framework of death anxiety and ‘mental illness’.
Matt provides us with a wonderful perspective around how our own environments influence our wellbeing. We speak about attachment systems and adaptive behaviours and what they mean, as well as taking a deep dive into death anxiety, fearing death and mental illness.
This was one of the most fascinating chats and episodes we have recorded.
** Disclaimer ... in this episode we speak to death, the fear of dying and mental illness. If these are triggering topics for you, please consider listening to one of our other episodes **
