#7. ADHD and exercise; An EP‘s perspective.
This week we were joined by Archie Richards. Archie is an EP, passionate about helping clients reach their goals through movement and exercise, with special interests in intellectual disability and persistent pain. Archie combines his knowledge and experience to deliver a holistic approach specifically tailored to the individual.
In this episode we focus on the role exercise therapy plays in the management of ADHD. Archie shares with us some of the leading research in this field & the role of an EP in intellectual disabilities and conditions. We chat about the neurology components of ADHD and why children/adolescences with ADHD should participate in regular exercise & ways to actually implement exercise. Archie also shares some potential barriers you may come up against and some helpful tips to help facilitate and overcome these barriers.
We had a great time chatting to Archie and hearing all about the benefits of exercise.
You can find Archie on instagram at @archie.richards.ep where he shares his own content surrounding exercise therapy. If you have any questions for Archie, please let us know, we would love to hear from you (and we may even have him back for more episodes).

Very interesting subject! Interesting learning what Archie does as an EP does. I got a few giggles from this one. Loved it 😍🤩
