12. What is Behavioural Optometry ?
Meet Carolyn ! Our amazing Behavioural Optometrist.
In todays episode we learn all about what behavioural optometry is and the difference between vision and sight. Carolyn helps us understand that it is about ensuring the vision system has the developmental maturity, the strength and the stamina to meet every demand on it and that the visual system is in harmony with all other body systems. We chat about certain symptoms, specific examples & the interactions vision has with the rest of the body. Carolyn shares with us how behavioural optometry is being used to help concussion patients, brain injuries, anxiety, retained primitive reflexes & eye conditions.
This holistic approach to optometry is becoming a more popular modality sought out by patients & it was an absolute pleasure interviewing Carolyn and hearing all about her lane of work.
Buckle yourself in, this episode is slightly longer then normal but absolutely worth it ! Carolyn is a wealth of knowledge.
